Acho Fon is a physician and immunology graduate passionate about innovative health service delivery and advancing Africa’s vaccine sovereignty. He worked with EGPAF in Cameroon, supporting data-driven, people-centred HIV service delivery, seeing directly how this improved patients’ lives. The limitations of the local response to the COVID pandemic spurred his interest in vaccine development. He has since worked on a preclinical Hantavirus vaccine project gaining experience in vaccine research. He wants to contribute towards local vaccine production on the continent.
