Edson Kimario is a Medical Laboratory Scientist and Master’s candidate in Molecular Bioengineering at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST). His research employs a One Health framework to investigate the genomic epidemiology of antimicrobial-resistant pathogens across East Africa. By integrating upstream molecular benchwork with advanced bioinformatics pipelines, Edson is dedicated to expanding regional computational capacity and driving precision genomic medicine across the continent.
