Issa Sy is a postdoctoral researcher at Saarland University, Germany. Originally from Senegal, he studied biology at UCAD before earning a Master’s in Medical and Environmental Microbiology (France) and a PhD in Microbiology (Germany). His current research focuses on using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry to enhance diagnostics for parasitic and bacterial diseases. His work bridges high-tech innovation with diagnostic improvements for global health.
