Lusako Lucky Sibale from Malawi is a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Infection and Immunity Research Group at the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Programme. His work focuses on the genomic epidemiology of Streptococcus pneumoniae, including serotype diversity, antimicrobial resistance, and within-host evolution. He employs whole genome sequencing and longitudinal analysis to study pneumococcal carriage dynamics in adults. His research aims to inform vaccine strategies and deepen understanding of pathogen persistence in high- burden settings.
